Metro Center Chiropractic gets two thumbs up! In August of 2006, I underwent surgery for two hernias. Surgical mesh was used to reconstruct the herniated areas. Needless to say, over the months that followed, the scar tissue formed and at 55 years old healing took awhile longer.
Eight months after surgery, I was still experiencing severe pain in the affected areas as well as severe lower back pain. I discovered I have degenerative disc disease in several of my lower vertebrae. A plan for recovery was established by Metro Chiropractic and as a result two months later I no longer experience pain in the hernia repair areas and my lower back pain is minimal. The pain for recovery consisted of.:
1) A set routine using the Pre-Cor machine for stretching the back, the legs, and flexing the hips.
2) A Synergy ball crunch exercise to strengthen the back and lubricate the vertebrae.
3) Deep tissue pressure point manipulation to help break up scar tissue.
4) Rocker board exercises to flex the ankles and work the hip rotators.
5) Deep tissue pressure point manipulation on the back to relieve lactic acid in the back muscles.
6) Alignment each visit.
I must admit I was uncertain as to chiropractic therapy, but the above has made a believer out of me. I no longer live in pain and do not have to accept the fact that pain has to be a part of the aging process. Metro Center Chiropractic gets two thumbs up!
